Portsmouth have signed Bayer Leverkusen striker Theofanis Gekas on loan until the end of the season.
The loan deal includes an option for Portsmouth to sign the 28-year-old Greek international permanently.
Portsmouth have also signed Greece's Euro 2004-winning midfielder Angelos Basinas from AEK Athens on an 18-month deal.
The 33-year-old, who has made 97 appearances for his country, joins the club for an undisclosed fee.
Portsmouth executive chairman Peter Storrie told the club's website: "He's exactly what we need in the situation that we're in.
